If you’re someone who works with a computer screen all day long, it’s really important to have some sort of blue light filtering.

How do you relax your eyes with blue light?
I prefer blue light blocker glasses, and I sourced these from Zenni. They block harmful blue light and minimize digital eye strain.
If you don’t like wearing glasses, you can actually get a screen protector that just slides right over the top of your screen off of Amazon. They absorb much of the blue light emitted from computers, decreasing exposure.
Both of these are excellent for reducing some of the stress on your eyes.
Tip:
If you are suffering from eye strain, either from too much computer work or reading a good book, use the 20-20-20 rule to help eye strain. Every 20 minutes of reading/looking you should look away from the page or screen and focus on an object 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. This will help decrease eye strain while looking at screens or pages.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does blue light affect health?
Blue light suppresses melatonin production, disrupting sleep cycles and recovery. Exposure after sunset delays sleep onset by 2-3 hours, reducing sleep quality and increasing inflammation markers.
Poor sleep from blue light exposure interferes with healing from chiropractic adjustments – we provide comprehensive wellness guidance.
Can blue light cause headaches?
Yes, blue light causes digital eye strain triggering headaches in 70% of screen users. It overstimulates the nervous system and creates muscle tension in neck and shoulders.
HealthWorks addresses both the structural and lifestyle factors contributing to your chronic headaches.
When should I avoid blue light?
Limit blue light 2-3 hours before bed for optimal sleep. Use blue light filters after sunset, take screen breaks hourly, and maintain proper viewing distance during daytime use.
Optimizing sleep quality enhances your body’s response to gentle chiropractic care significantly.
